A lesson in a small group to develop wider skills and give you a flying start
Service Description
Each lesson is 3 hours including clean up. Please call to discuss availability. Focused tuition to enable you to go at your pace with the tutor so you really feel that you are guided at the pace that suits your learning style. This personalised tuition really accelerates your learning and gets you started quickly from preparing, centering and basic throwing in the first few sessions , to more complex forms and turning as you progress. You'll be making mugs, vases and bowls in no time. With a wide variety of clay materials, commercial glazes, tools and resources it is a perfect set up for you to learn and hone your skill. Use the time to throw, in white stoneware. All materials and one piece firing allocation included per session. If you wish to fire more that is no problem and we can agree together a supplementary charge if needed. Firing can take a while and expect around four weeks to go through the kiln process to be ready for collection. Clay is messy, so please wear old clothes and bring your own apron. For further information regarding what you need to bring please ensure you read our sections on health and safety and studio use. To book the lesson you will need, to be over 15 years old or 12 if accompanied by an adult. As with all of our classes tea, coffee & biscuits are complimentary. It is the perfect way to have some you time and be in the moment with clay. Please call to discuss availability.
Cancellation Policy
Sometimes life happens and you may need to reschedule a booking. Up-to 14 days before your slot you will be able to re-schedule your slot yourself, if there is further availability on another date . Go into your bookings and choose re-schedule. If this is not possible please contact me directly and we will try to be flexible. Please note this is not always possible. In general bookings cannot be rescheduled within a 14 day time period of the session, however if  you cannot attend and you can contact me, I will then try to find a replacement.  If this is possible, I will then provide a credit note, minus a £7.50 administration fee.
