Enjoy a fun session with friends and learn all the basics of hand building with clay.
Service Description
This is a great introduction to the world of clay! Each session is 3 hours tuition, plus 30 minutes for finishing, glazing and clean up. The price is for two people, included in the price is a demonstration of wedging, rolling, slab building and decoration techniques, with lots of time to practice hand building in clay. To book the class you will need, to be over 15 years old or 12 years old accompanied by an adult. To book this session, please contact directly via email to find an available time. With a wide variety of clay materials, commercial glazes, tools and resources it is a perfect set up for you to learn and hone your skill. Use the time to throw, turn, glaze in white stoneware. All materials and one piece firing allocation included per session. If you wish to fire more that is no problem and we can agree together a supplementary charge if needed. Firing can take a while and expect around three weeks to go through the kiln process to be ready for collection. Clay is messy, so please wear old clothes and bring your own apron. For further information regarding what you need to bring please ensure you read our sections on health and safety and studio use. As with all of our classes tea, coffee & biscuits are complimentary. Cancellation Policy
Sometimes life happens and you may need to reschedule a booking. Up-to 14 days before your slot you will be able to re-schedule your slot yourself, if there is further availability on another date . Go into your bookings and choose re-schedule. If this is not possible please contact me directly and we will try to be flexible. Please note this is not always possible. In general bookings cannot be rescheduled within a 14 day time period of the session, however if you cannot attend and you can contact me, I will then try to find a replacement. If this is possible, I will then provide a credit note, minus a £7.50 administration fee.
