Hi, I'm Lisa, thank you so much for visiting Lisa Stevenson Ceramics. When my hands touched clay for the first time my life shifted and my journey through clay began.
At the heart of my ceramic practice is sharing with you clay's wisdom and teachings of being, beginning, creating and letting go with care, captured in a 'Journey through clay'.

These all invite a quiet conversation and presence between your hands and clay, creating a path back to yourself. Clay has been my greatest teacher, guiding on how to slow down, heal and create from the heart. Whether you are coming to clay seeking wellbeing, creativity or simply a moment of stillness, it has something to teach us all.
Many of us live in our heads, rushing and feeling disconnected. Clay invites us back to the present and helps guide us to explore being, beginning, creating, transforming, reclaiming and letting go and ending with care. Ebro Collection Commission - September 2025, Catalonia, Spain
Every year I am commissioned to create unique ceramic pieces and sets, that create connections to milestones in life, such as this 'Ebro Collection', which has found it's home near Barcelona at a writers retreat. An heirloom piece in memory for a special family.

An experience
Join us for a very special day as I am once again joined by Abigail McKern following our recital closing event at the Allen Gallery, part of the Hampshire Cultural Trust.
I will be sharing my journey through clay, with reflections, clay's wisdom, poetry and demonstrations both on the wheel and with sculpture. Award winning actress, Abigail will bring these moments to life with recitals of original poetry.
